Terms of Use

These terms set the rules for using this website. By visiting any page, running a search, or reading content here, you agree to everything listed below. If you do not accept these conditions, leave the site and do not use it further.

NO FCRA USE. This privately operated website is unaffiliated with any government body. Neither it nor its advertising partners offers a service for credit, employment, insurance, tenant-screening, or another use regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). It helps visitors locate Meriden, Connecticut criminal-record resources; it is neither a private-investigation firm nor a consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site. We operate on our own with no ties to any government office. We do not store official criminal records and we cannot pull records, run official background checks, or file documents for anyone.

We identify the separate offices serving Meriden: the Police Records Division, Connecticut Superior Court, the State Police Bureau of Identification, and the Connecticut Sex Offender Registry. Connecticut has no county government or sheriff records office.

2. Rules for Using This Site

You agree that you will not:

  • Break any federal, state, or local law while using this site
  • Use information you find here to stalk, harass, or threaten anyone
  • Base hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions on content from this site
  • Try to break into our systems or gain access you are not supposed to have
  • Run bots, scrapers, or automated tools against our pages
  • Do anything that slows the site down or blocks other people from using it

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Using site or linked-tool information to harass, stalk, intimidate, threaten, or discriminate is prohibited and may be criminal. Connecticut General Statutes § 54-258a warns that using Connecticut Sex Offender Registry information to injure, harass, or commit a crime may lead to prosecution. Registry data is for lawful safety awareness, not vigilantism.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. We do not generate background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports of any kind. Neither we nor our advertising partners provide services built for screening job applicants, reviewing rental applications, calculating insurance rates, or judging creditworthiness. You agree not to use data from this site or any linked tool to:

  • Decide whether to hire or fire someone
  • Screen potential renters or housing applicants
  • Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
  • Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
  • Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules

A check for an FCRA-regulated purpose must come from an appropriate FCRA-compliant provider or legally authorized State Police Bureau of Identification process.

5. No Legal Advice

Nothing here is legal advice. General information about Meriden records cannot determine how a charge, conviction, warrant, or erasure rule applies to a specific situation. Consult a Connecticut-licensed attorney.

6. No Warranties

Everything on this site is provided "as is." We do not guarantee that:

  • The information here is accurate, complete, or current at any given time
  • The site will stay up and running without interruptions
  • Our pages are free of errors, bugs, or security holes
  • Results from our partner search tools will be thorough or accurate

Criminal records change as charges are filed or dismissed and records are corrected, erased, or affected by a pardon. Gaps are unavoidable, and nothing here is an official statement from Meriden Police, a Connecticut court, or another agency.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links to Meriden offices, Connecticut court portals, state agencies, legal-aid organizations, and outside services lead to sites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, availability, data practices, or fees; review their terms before use.

8. Intellectual Property

Site text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Meriden Criminal History or its content partners and may not be copied, distributed, modified, or adapted without prior written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for damages that come from using this site - including decisions made based on information found here or through any linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to hold us harmless from any claim, legal action, or demand that stems from how you used this site or from breaking these terms. That includes covering our legal fees and related costs.

11. Governing Law

Connecticut law governs these terms. A dispute connected with site use must be filed in a court located in Connecticut.

12. Changes to These Terms

We can update these terms whenever we see fit. New terms go into effect the moment they appear on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

We can limit or block your access to this site at any time, for any reason, with no warning.

14. Severability

If a court rules that any part of these terms is invalid or unenforceable, the rest stand. The problem section gets adjusted only as much as needed to make it work.
